KABINETT, the Digital Platform for the Art-house, The independent and The Cult, Unveils “ASA NEGRA” music video from latest Lp by Brazilian Indie artist LuKaSH.
Available for Unlimited Streaming Starting June 21st, 2018.
New York, NY – May 18th, 2018 -NY based digital arthouse KABINETT invites Bossa Nova fans to dive into the eclectic new single, “ASA NEGRA”, composed and filmed by the young Brazilian composer known as LuKaSH. The song and its accompanying video from his second album VENTA, which was released on May 22nd of 2018. The song serves as a proclamation of the artist’s love for fellow artist Ava Patrya Yndia Yracema (also known as Ava Rocha); a Brazilian icon who is a close friend of LukaSH. The single has proved to be a tremendous success reaching audiences across Central America, and now with the support of KABINETT, audiences in the United States and Europe.
“The Asa Negra verses are a declaration of infinite love for Ava, but also for our Indigenous Homeland of Brazil and the decision to keep the spelling of Ava’s name. It is a declaration of love for the Brazilian land; this indigenous land so rich and violent, but whose power revolts against all violence” says LuKaSh.
“We are thrilled to be presenting the work of my dear friends from Brazil, LuKaSH and Ava, both very talented artists, who have always pushed the boundaries of contemporary art. We are sure our growing community around the world will appreciate the possibility of accessing these unique works. With notable references from the work “Iracema” by former Brazilian Vice President, José Alencar, this single honors the indigenous culture of Brazil. stated KABINETT founder Eduardo Costantini Jr.
Marcos Campello, who was responsible for the full production of the album, managed to incorporate the sounds of nature into the instrumentation which was further accentuated by the natural aesthetic of the music video. The clip below was directed, photographed and assembled entirely by LuKaSH, except for the scenes where the artist appears, which were photographed by Yudji Oliveira.
“Asa Negra” symbolises the arrival, or return, of LuKaSH to São Paulo. Filmed on its outskirts, the city itself is transformed into the subject of the film. On scene, we have the city and forest, the source of pure water, and the mixture of people contributing to the carnival of São Paulo.
This song is part of the second album by LuKaSH, VENTA, which was a great success in the collective financing campaign, managing to raise more than the goal. All compositions are by Lucas Weglinski. The production and arrangements of Marcos Campello, and mixing by Martin Scian. Come September, the full album will be available for purchase on Vinyl.
